Why waivers are so important!
Waivers ensure that you and the Society are protected in the case of an accident or incident while participating in BCHBC events.
The Acera Waiver is required by the insurance provider (Acera) and must be signed every year to be in effect. This is done at the time of your membership renewal (or new-join registration).
If you intend to participate in any BCHBC events involving equines or outdoor field activities (e.g. work bees) you must sign the Acera Waiver every year. Prior to an event, Chapters are required to ensure all participants have signed a waiver. Be sure to sign and submit the waiver when you renew your membership.
When and How to sign the Waiver
When you purchase or renew your membership, you will automatically be asked to sign your annual waiver.
In the event you haven’t signed the waiver when joining or renewing, you can sign the waiver after renewing/joining by selecting the appropriate waiver below. Once you click the “FINISH” button, it will be submitted to BCHBC automatically.
Individual Adult Waiver
Over the age of Majority
Junior Waiver
Under the age of Majority
Important Reminders
If you are purchasing a Family Membership you must complete an adult waiver for each adult and one junior waiver, listing all Junior members of your family.
- After completing all sections click the “FINISH” button
- Download or email yourself a copy for your records
- Do not send BCHBC a copy unless requested
- Works best on computer/laptop; not so well on an iPad/Tablet
- To use on a mobile, choose ‘continue with browser’. No app required.
- If there are no juniors in a family, simply complete the Individual Adult waiver for each adult member
