Leave No Trace

BCHBC is a dedicated supporter of Leave No Trace (LNT) principles, and members are encouraged to embrace this philosophy at all equine events.

Leave No Trace Canada is a national non-profit organization dedicated to promoting and inspiring responsible outdoor recreation through education, research, and partnerships. LNT principles help build awareness, appreciation, and respect for our wildlands.

The Seven Principles of Leave No Trace are:

• Plan Ahead and Prepare
• Travel and Camp on Durable Surfaces
• Dispose of Waste Properly
• Leave What You Find
• Minimize Campfire Impacts
• Respect Wildlife
• Be Considerate of Others
