BCHBC advocates for trail riding and equine access in several ways.
Representing BCHBC, Chapters have built strong relationships with local government in their communities and BCHBC currently holds more than 20 Partnership Agreements with BCParks, RSTBC (Recreational Sites and Trails of BC) and private land managers.
Advocacy goes beyond government engagement. Chapters also work with other local trail user groups to foster cooperation, mutual understanding, and shared stewardship—helping ensure long-term access for everyone.
At the provincial level, BCHBC actively participates with the Outdoor Recreation Council of BC and Horse Council of BC, keeping trail access and equine-friendly policies at the forefront.
