Pine Marten Camp is one of three equestrian camps along the 43 km Salmon Brewster Trail Corridor near Campbell River. The camps were built in 2012–2013 by the BCHBC North Vancouver Island Chapter with support from the Alberni, South Vancouver Island, Central Vancouver Island, and Powell River chapters.
The North Vancouver Island Chapter maintains and operates the camps and trail corridor through a partnership agreement with Recreation Sites and Trails BC extending to 2034. The chapter has secured significant rehabilitation funding, including a $495,778 Rural Economic Diversification and Infrastructure Program grant in 2024.
