BCHBC Kamloops Chapter members worked with BC Parks before 2016 to build the corrals at Leighton Lake in Tunkwa Provincial Park.
The 2021 wildfire damaged part of the Leighton Lake corral infrastructure. The BCHBC Shuswap and Kamloops chapters restored the corrals with support from BC Parks and are working toward a partnership agreement to maintain trails and improve signage.
