Fishtrap Recreation Campsite was developed in 2009–2010 by the BCHBC North Thompson Chapter, inspired by rebuilding efforts following the 2003 wildfires.
The site features a mountain trail course, a large fenced skills-practice area, and access to an extensive trail system. Through a partnership with Recreation Sites and Trails BC, the North Thompson Chapter maintains the camp and the Skull Mountain trail network, which offers more than 125 km of trails beginning at the campsite.
